mud

what a beautiful sunday afternoon. we just had to get outside and enjoy the warm weather with a family hike in the woods! and as you will see, we encountered another indication that spring has a foothold around here...

muddy feet of the young explorer

muddy tracks of the raccoon

mark, waiting to ambush his children as they wander along the creek, unsuspectingly.

poor kids! ;o)

nothing is as lovely as a waterfall, even if it is just in a little country stream

pretty pebbles

collecting interesting rocks on a muddy stream bank

rescuing B from the mud. her dad has redeemed himself after the ambush incident.

she survived and her crocks will wash up, but i'm not sure if her white socks will ever be the same.

neighbors passing through

everyday gift: good clean fun

Wow! What a great day exploring the "new land". How about those horseback riders!! The mud was something to behold. So glad you had such a great day in the sunshine. More coming I hear. Love to all, Grammy

I am so inspired by looking at your photos. Our family is heading to West Frankfort, IL to visit Grandpa and Grandma next week. I sure hope we get some of that weather while we're there! It's beginning to warm here in northern Minnesota, but we have plenty of white stuff here and the ground is just beginning to show through here and there. We had another 6 inches of snow at the end of last week!

You had a walk in the woods too!! :) Do you think we can still take them when our kids are grown and gone?? :) Loved visiting your blog today! Can you tell me about the bird in your blog header photo?? I LOVE it!
